I'm from the UK, moving in to year 8.

I heard that in florida(america) moving into juniors is the same as moving into year 8 in england, but I may be wrong.

In england though, juniors start from only 7 years old!

Hmm... I'm a junior in high school. I'm 16 years old.

Lets see, Kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th [freshman], 10th [sophomore], 11th [junior]. Then 12th [senior].

That's the order of my schooling anyway. Wink

PRIMARY SCHOOL:

Nursery, reception, Year-1, -2, -3, -4, -5, -6
(N to Y2 is infants, Y3 to Y6 is junior)

SECONDARY SCHOOL:

Year- 7, -8, -9, -10, -11

We start school when we are 3 to 4 and finish when we are 15-16

Its all very confusing!

Im in year 7,,,well was in year 7. I'll be in year 8 after the holidays Very Happy

That sound great! My school starts at 7:10 and ends at 1:50. And I'm NOT a morning person.

Well here in Aussieland, I think it is simpler:

First, we go to Pre-school (which isn't affiliated with 'big' school in anyway) then Primary school (Kindergarten --> Yr 6) Last, but not at least, High School (Yr 7 ---> Yr 12). So there you have it, Australian compulsory schooling system! Smile
