The Easy Way To Create Your Affiliate Banner Link
Here is an east way to create a code for linking to your website.
For each step put the coresponding part in the place where the labeled step is.
Here's an example of how the html code should turn out >>
For each step put the coresponding part in the place where the labeled step is.
- Code:
<a href="INSERT_STEP_ONE_HERE"><img src="INSERT_STEP_TWO_HERE" alt="INSERT_STEP_THREE_HERE" title="INSERT_STEP_FOUR_HERE" width="INSERT_STEP_FIVE_HERE_WIDTH" height="INSERT_STEP_FIVE_HERE_HEIGHT" /></a>
- Decide where you want the link to go. (do you want it to link to the portal, or to the forum, etc.) Copy the url of that page.
- Chose the banner you want to be displayed. copy it's url (ex: http://addmyforum.freeforums.org/files/addmyforum/logos/logo_phpBB.gif) and put it in the code.
- Now you must decide what you want the alternate text to be. This text will be displayed while the image is loding or if the image doesn't appear at all. (ex: Free Forum Promotion)
- Next, decide on a title. This will be displayed by browsers such as Firefox when a person holds their mouse over the image. (Internet Explorer displays the alt text so I recommend making the alt and the title the same.)
- Finally, you must chose the dimensions for your banner. Add My Forum only excepts banners that are 160 pixels by 60 pixels and many other sites do the same.
All you need to do is decide on the width and the height.
Here's an example of how the html code should turn out >>
- Code:
<a href="http://www.addmyforum.co.nr/"><img src="http://addmyforum.freeforums.org/files/addmyforum/logos/logo_phpBB.gif" alt="Free Forum Promotion" title="Free Forum Promotion at AddMyForum.co.nr" width="160" height="50" /></a>
