Before you hire any kind of staff (especially admins) ensure you trust them a lot. They can destroy your forum and they could even block you completely and take over the forum for themselves.

Most people who say that their forum has been hacked have, in fact, given Admin rights to somebody who decided that they would ban the real owner and mess up the forum and delete everything. If you don't trust someone don't make the staff and for Admins make the moderator first so you can see if they are trustworthy. Also don't be afraid to reject people from staff applications either as it is your forum. It is also always best to have one Admin unless the forum is big then you would need 2 for the workload. If you are the only Admin then your the only one that can damage the forum.

It can take less the a minute to totally mess up a forum and to delete everything and months to recover from it if at all.

That's should work. Just be sure you don't give away important positions just as prizes. Be careful about who you select.

Yes, I only allow users special access to forums that cant be viewed my normal members as prizes. I have to trust them a lot if I want to hire a second admin. It only takes a minute to mess up the forum via the admin panel.

yes, I already know about that. I have actually had to use it before, I was just testing out the banning system and I banned myself. I used that to unban me again. but I havn't been hacked before and I hope I never do .

I'd have to really trust somebody if I wanted to make them 2nd administrator
